Matthew joined Development Securities in 2000 as Director of investments and has been responsible for the wholesale restructuring of the company’s investment portfolio, focusing on stock selection and active asset management resulting in a strong outperformance every year. Matthew was appointed to the board executive directors in 2004.

Jamie is a qualified surveyor with over 20 years experience in the residential development industry. Jamie joined Barwood in June 2009 from Taylor Wimpey Strategic Developments where he was Director of the hugely successful Eastern Division Strategic Business. His record in delivering planning permissions on strategic sites is exceptional, equating to tens of thousands of plots over his career across the midlands and south of England. In addition he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business to match his achievements that also delivers quality and value from every scheme.

Before joining Barwood in 2002, Henry was a partner at Strutt and Parker.  At Barwood amongst other roles he was responsible for identifying and securing land totalling over 1,000 acres for the Barwood LaSalle joint venture and has played a key role in both securing sites and their subsequent promotion for Barwood Development Securities Ltd.  As well as promoting residential sites, he has led a variety of complex planning applications including a Tesco store in Uxbridge; a substantial mixed use site in Northampton which included a care home, offices and public house; and various industrial and office developments.

Bradley joined Development Securities in 2004 as a member of the investment team focusing on commercial investment. He is responsible for sourcing and acquiring new business opportunities directly or in joint ventures with a strong focus on value added situations. He previously worked for Jones Lang LaSalle (Capital markets) and Investream ltd.

Joanna is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a Securities Institute Diploma in Corporate Finance. Jo joined Barwood in February 2006 from Reuters Group where she built and headed up an in-house mergers and acquisitions team and subsequently worked as Finance Director of Reuters Investment Banking and Brokerage Division. At Barwood Jo is responsible for all aspects of financial planning and management, investment analysis and treasury management. In addition, she provides support to the Board on strategy and company management.

Alan is a qualified surveyor with over 30 years broad property experience in development, investment and corporate asset management incorporating maximisation strategies. Alan has been responsible for the development of over 4.0 million sq ft of warehousing, distribution and industrial space worth over £500m.

Tim joined Barwood in December 2009 after graduating from the University of Reading with a 2.1 BSc (Hons) degree in Investment and Finance in Property. Tim is currently studying towards his APC and is involved with the promotion of land through the planning system for Barwood Development Securities Ltd.

Sam joined Barwood in May 2011 from Taylor Wimpey Strategic Developments where he was responsible for the acquisition and promotion of land across the East & West Midlands. Over the course of his career at Taylor Wimpey he successfully assembled a number of large scale Sustainable Urban Extensions and added a significant number of new plots to the land bank as well as recognising many valuable planning consents.
