Barwood has built up excellent relationships with a number of external organisation and Institutional Funds as joint venture and development partners; including Arlington Property Investments, Henderson Global Investors, RREEF, Prologis Developments, Prudential, AXA Sun Life, Tesco, Morley Fund Management and Threadneedle, to name but a few; all of whom value our experience and track record.
The development team has also established key relationships with and undertaken a number of bespoke development schemes on behalf of occupiers such as Cadbury’s, Unipart Logistics, Scottish & Newcastle, Wincanton, P&O, John Lewis, Handleman UK, WorldCom, B&Q, Northamptonshire County Council, Shoosmiths, Rank Leisure, Elsevier Science and Gateley Wareing.
As testament to the success of our development team, Barwood is now the United Kingdom development partner for and has a financial arrangement in place with CalEast, the property investment joint venture between LaSalle Investment Management and CalPERS (California Public Employees’ Retirement System), the largest single pension fund in the world.
CalEast is a leading investor in logistics warehousing and related real estate and owns and operates a portfolio in excess of 15 million sq ft of industrial real estate, including warehousing, manufacturing, air cargo and distribution parks throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico and soon the United Kingdom and Europe.
